Prayer Requesting Ease When Facing Adversity
By: Badrul Tamam
Praise be to Allah. Hopefully terlimpah prayers and greetings to the Prophet, his family and his companions.
In living this life, we often faced with difficulties. Sometimes the difficulty was hard to make us almost despair. However, faith in the power of Allah Ta'ala is not infinite, makes us remain patient and have hope.
Indeed the universe lies in the power and control of Allah Ta'ala. Everything is obedient to the statutes and His will. No one can move or act except with power, strength, will and His permission. What He will definitely happen. Conversely, unwanted Him will never happen.
God Almighty to do anything. He was able to make everything easy into something difficult, is also something that is difficult becomes easy. Nothing is difficult for Him, for He has power over everything. Because of the difficulties and the various trials of life we must not despair. There is still a God we can ask and ask Him for help. So we are commanded to pray when in trouble,
اللهم لا سهل إلا ما جعلته سهلا و أنت تجعل الحزن إذا شئت سهلا
Laa Allaahumma Sahla Illaa Anta Wa Maa Ja'altahu Sahlaa Taj'alul Hazna Idza Syi'ta Sahlaa
"O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. And if you will, you will make trouble into ease. "
Does this prayer Derived from the Hadith?
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih rahimahullaah in one of the fatwa said, "This prayer, I do not know the origin (the source) from Assunnah, but it is spoken by many people." A similar statement he obtained in Cassette "Nuur 'ala al-Darb" cassette No. . 344 minutes to 22. But true that the prayer above stems from the legacy of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.
It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik radi 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said,
اللهم لا سهل إلا ما جعلته سهلا و أنت تجعل الحزن إذا شئت سهلا

"O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. And if you will, you will make trouble into ease. "(Narrated by Ibn Hibban in Shahihnya no. 2427, in the Sunni Ibn al-Amal al-Yaum Begin wa no. 351, Abu Nu'aim in Akhbar Ashfahan: 2 / 305 , Al-Imam al-Targhib Ashbahani in: 1 / 131. Shaykh al-Albani in Lineage Saheehah menshahihkannya 6 / 902, no. 2886 and said, "isnad saheeh according to Muslim requirements.")
This prayer is also mentioned by the Author Hisnul Muslim, DR. Sa'id bin Ali bin al-Qahthani Wahf, on things. 90 with the title, "Prayer for those who get into trouble." He mentions that Shaykh al-Arnauth menshahihkannya in Takhrij Adzkar lil al-Nawawi, p.. 106.
Meaning of Prayer
The meaning of the prayer above, that God does not make things easy for humans. There is no convenience to them, except what Allah made easy. And real convenience is what God made easy. Conversely, the difficulties and hardship if God wills can be easy and light. As the ease and mild cases can be difficult and heavy, if Allah wills. Since all cases are in the hands of Allah 'Azza wa Jalla.
Then the content of this prayer, someone ask God to facilitate all business is difficult and praised Allah 'Azza wa Jalla that all affairs are in His hand, if He wills, the difficulty can be easy.
As already advised, Allah 'Azza wa Jalla omnipotent do anything. And He is able to make easy into something difficult, is also something that is difficult becomes easy. Nothing is difficult for Him, for He has power over all things.

Then the content of this prayer:

Someone ask God to facilitate all business is difficult and praised Allah 'Azza wa Jalla that all affairs are in His hand, if He wills, the difficulty can be easy.
On the Side Prayer, What Can Be Done?
Allah Ta'ala says,
يا أيها الذين آمنوا استعينوا بالصبر والصلاة
"O ye who believe, ask for help (to Allah) with patience and (do) prayer." (Surat al-Baqarah: 153)
Allah explains that the best way to ask God's help in dealing with various disasters (among other difficulties in life) is to be patient and pray.
And in a hadith mentioned that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam when faced with a problem then he immediately prayed. (Narrated by Abu Dawood and Ahmad bin Hudhayfah of Yemen)
While looking forward to in this verse there are two kinds, namely patient in order to leave the various cases illegitimate and sin, and be patient in performing obedience and worship. And the patient form the second is more reward, and that patience is a closer point to get ease.
Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said, "Be patient there are two forms: be patient for God to perform what He loves, although heavy on the soul and body. And be patient for God from all that He hates even desires against it. Who are the conditions like this then he is of the class of people who are patient will survive, God willing. "(Quoted briefly from Tafsir Ibn Kathir in his commentary paragraph above)

Be patient there are two forms: be patient for God to perform what He loves, although heavy on the soul and body. And be patient for God from all that He hates even desires against it. (Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam)
